Community participation includes many activities, depending on the individual’s interests and needs. Some examples of services and activities we offer include:

Community Participation Services Under NDIS

Supported Employment: Assistance in finding and maintaining meaningful employment opportunities in the community.

Research shows that engaging in social and community activities is a means to enhance one’s sense of belonging, develop social aptitude, and promote overall social and emotional wellness. The concept of social and community activities is broad and varies from person to person. It encompasses activities such as reconnecting with friends and family, enjoying outings to cinemas or concerts, embarking on leisurely pursuits like shopping or museum visits, participating in active hobbies such as cycling or dancing, indulging in sports like tennis or basketball, and even delving into the realm of skill acquisition through activities like art classes. These diverse experiences have the potential to foster a profound sense of inclusion and well-being in individuals with disabilities. These services are outlined in the individual’s NDIS plan, which is developed through a people-centred planning process. The NDIS plan is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that the support provided aligns with the individual’s evolving needs and aspirations.
